From humble beginnings in a home kitchen, Tecan’s pioneering photo

chemical machining (etching) processes were developed in response to

the growing demand for fine-featured, flat profile precision metal parts.

This resulted as an off-shoot from the manufacture of printed circuit

boards supplying the naval fleet based on the South Coast of the UK

and became the start of a rich history which has spanned more than 50

years.

Our innovative, photolithography-based capability also includes precision component forming and high-quality

metal finishing. Now a part of the global Muon organisation, Tecan has seen significant investment in plant and

technology over the past few years - strengthening its position as one of the World’s leading precision etching

experts.
